Alan's mother came to Utah from Peru and his father from Spain. They met in Provo and chose to build their family here because they believed hard work and education could open the door to a better life.
That promise shaped Alan's family. He and his siblings include a dentist, a teacher with a master's degree, and a college student. Their story shows what can happen when a community invests in opportunity.
Why he's running
Government needs practical problem-solvers
In cybersecurity, Alan must understand complex systems, find risks early, protect important information, and take responsibility for results. He is running because the Legislature needs more people who work that way.
“I don't expect your vote because of the letter next to my name. I expect to earn it.”
Alan will work with Republicans, Democrats, and independents whenever it produces a better outcome for West Provo and Southwest Orem. His test will be straightforward: Is it honest? Is it supported by evidence? Does it help the people of District 61?
