The local problem
Housing, taxes, tuition, and utilities are rising faster than many household budgets. At the same time, major public subsidies are too often approved without a clear, measurable return for taxpayers.
What Alan will fight for
- Require transparent cost-and-benefit analysis for major taxpayer incentive packages.
- Address assessment practices that shift an unfair share of property taxes onto homeowners.
- Support attainable housing where roads, water, schools, and utilities can support it.
- Oppose state budget decisions that simply push costs down to cities, counties, and families.
When UVU and local services face cuts, privately owned entertainment projects should not move to the front of the taxpayer line.

Teachers often buy classroom supplies with their own money. Cuts at UVU threaten classes, jobs, and an affordable path to a useful degree.
What Alan will fight for
- Fair starting pay and practical support that helps good teachers stay.
- Classroom resources that improve reading, learning, and student progress.
- Restore key UVU programs in engineering, health care, cybersecurity, and job training.
- Steady support for school suicide prevention and Hope Squads.
Education funding should reach classrooms, help good teachers stay, and give students more choices.

Responsible Growth, Water & Power
Growth should strengthen our community without overwhelming its resources.
The local problem
Large developments can create jobs. They can also put heavy demands on Provo's power grid, water, roads, and nearby neighborhoods.
What Alan will fight for
- Make large power users show how they will protect the grid and family utility rates.
- Require firm promises on water use, noise, and clean air.
- Invest in accurate water data so Utah can manage what it uses.
- Match new housing and business growth with the roads and public services needed to support it.
Alan supports innovation and good jobs. Private growth should pay its own way and should not shift hidden costs to families.

Your vote should never be treated as a suggestion.
The local problem
When few elections are close, party leaders can gain more power than local voters. Lawmakers should not weaken reforms after voters approve them.
What Alan will do
- Defend the right of Utah voters to place laws on the ballot.
- Publish clear explanations of major votes and budget decisions.
- Hold regular public meetings in District 61.
- Use Alan's cybersecurity skills to protect private data, prevent fraud, and improve state systems.
Alan will work with anyone who can deliver a good result for HD61. He will stand up to anyone who puts party ahead of the district.
